I was steaming clothes at work today. The steaming machine looks like a hoover, but works like a giant iron. In fact, that's bascially what it is. It gets most of the creases out of the clothes, so that they look good enough to go onto the shop floor. The only down side is that you have to stand up to steam the clothes. And, after a while, my right arm started hurting. Plus I had to make sure that I didn't direct the head of the steamer towards me, otherwise I would have gotten a load of extremely hot steam straight in the face.
I didn't do too badly, however. Shirts and skirts were a little tricky to begin with, but I got the hang of them in the end.

...anybody there?
Hi guys
So this is going to have to be very quick, as I have a LOT of revision to do for tomorrow, aka my linguistics exam *bites nails* - I haven't done nearly enough yet, so it looks like I'll be pulling an all-nighter >.<>
I'd like to second what Sydney said yesterday re. letting us know if you want to drop out or whatever. I'll send an e-mail to everyone as soon as I have the time, because I have a suspicion that people have just clean forgotten, which is sort of disappointing, especially considering the content of the e-mail I sent 'round initially.
Anyway. As much as I wish I could continue typing, I really have to go D:

Repeat
Good morning!
I've done nothing remarkably interesting in the last week (if you don't count locking myself in a bathroom with a half gallon of ice cream and my laptop...and quitting my job). Well, I have been jogging, which in its own right can be fun, and writing. This is basically a continuation of last week's blog.
Before I go on:
Monday,
Saturday,
Sunday...
We haven't heard from the three of you; and that's quite a large gap in the posting days. What is going on? Email us please, if you would like to give up your days, we don't want to boot you out without your knowledge.
What decade would you return to and why?
1820, despite the gross lack of women's rights in America and the lack of Civil Rights as well for that matter, this was the last decade of true peace (or so Historians say). It's, I think, the idea that the world wasn't mapped completely nor connected completely that allows my imagination to jump on the idea. I like the thought of writing letters, horses as car power, and slow moving news (I hate the media today, it isn't thorough at all).
I recently read an article written by a Christian author, it was printed in an American newspaper and made me gag (not that religion makes me, gag, mind you). It was on atheists (as a whole) and how completely bothersome they are, how rude, how boring, and how anti-religious they all seem to be. It just made me wonder how anyone in this day and age could still be so close-minded and bigited (she was practically calling for persecution against Atheists...bah). Another thought, how does something like that get printed? Free speech is wonderful, but the editors should know that they could lose quite a bit of business.
Who is your favorite fictional characters and why?
While I am not impressed by the Harry Potter series as a whole, there were several characters I took delight in reading. Severus Snape, for example, has been one of my favorite literary characters since I was in fourth grade; and not because of the tortured soul persona, mind you. He's the perfect example of how a secondary character can be made dynamic instead of static...(and I must admit, until the sixth book, most of his appearances insued in humor: even if he himself was not a funny man). Minerva McGonagall is another, for the very same reasons.
Childermass from Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell was another favorite. He had the potential to be a Severus Snape, but his wit and humor and the circumstances gave him the advantage of having a...well.... sense of humor (no matter how dark) and more freedom in his choice of activities. He was the only character in the book, I decided, who had any inkling of what was going to happen before it happened and acted accordingly. He was also a secondary character and dynamic (I seriously must get bored with the protagonists...the book was over a thousand pages...).
Until next week,

I've been so busy today! In typical Sarah style i've left everything that I need to get done before my trip away this weekend until the last minute. I'm going down to stay with my Dad for a week. I haven't seen him in a while so i'm really excited :)
My latest TV show addiction is Ashes to Ashes. I love the storylines, the characters, everything about it is fantastic. If you watch the show you'll know it's about the main character, Alex, going back to the 80's. So i'm interested to know if you could go back and live in or visit any decade which would you choose and why?
Sorry this is short, like I said i'm really busy. I haven't even started packing yet, eek! Also, I may not be able to post next Friday, i'll be travelling back from my Dads and i'm not sure what time i'll be back or if i'll have internet access when I return that day. Sorry.

I'm currently on a thirteen week work placement course. Basically, the idea is to get people back into work, or into work, if they've never worked before. I've been put in a British Heart Foundation shop. It's not too bad, since the staff are all quite friendly. I did paper work yesterday and today, so it wasn't really that stressful!
I'm not going tomorrow though, since tomorrow, I go back to the company who arranged the work placement, and do a whole day of serious job searching. Boring, but necessary.

Mush and sugar.
So I'm currently sitting at one of the many computers in my university library, feeling like my brain has turned to mush after a mere 3 hours of revision. How am I going to cope with learning an entire semester's worth of information in 7 days if I am mentally saturated after 3 hours?! I actually can't fail this exam because I've not been particularly organised with my assignments and failed 2 of them (one due to not doing it, another due to both doing a generally poor job and also not giving it in until several days after the deadline), so I'm slightly worried...
I'm not feeling in the right mood to try and verbally dramatise my decidedly undramatic life. I want it to be a month from now, when I'll be honeymooning it up with Chris in Paris. Is it bad that right now I'm looking forward to the post-wedding holiday more than I'm looking forward to the wedding itself? The idea of spending six days exploring a new city and lounging in a 3-star hotel room is looking more appealing than ever before (and before, it still looked pretty darn appealing).
With the stress of exams comes the almost irrepressible craving for sugary snacks and lots of them, but the mental vision of not being able to fit into my size 6 wedding dress in a month is, for the most part, holding me back: rice cakes (and I use the term 'cake' loosely here - I don't think I've ever eaten anything less cake-like in my life) have become the food of the season, and my sweet tooth will have to lump it. Either that, or tempt me into eating a kinder bueno and a packet of wotsits anyway, as it did earlier today. Crap.
Some of you guys haven't written for two of the three weeks (is it three? I think so...) that this whole blogging thing has been happening. I understand the concept of a busy life, and of forgetting about things (particularly the latter), but this whole blog thing is going to be pretty shit if we only write one third of the time. I mean, it's only once a week as it is. If you don't want to continue with this, whether due to lack of time or lack of enthusiasm or both, then that's fine, seriously, but let us know? Sorry for the bluntness, but like I said - brain, revision, mush.

Tuesday? Check.
Hello!
I'm writing from my new laptop, as my old one crashed last week (it even refused to start on safe mode). While I loved my old one (I had it for four long years and was in the habit of talking to it: Don't mock me), this piece of technology is making me incredibly happy. It's nice to have a computer that starts when you want it to and saves the stories you write instead of kicking you out of Microsoft Works before you can think of pushing save as.
Life has become relatively uneventful in my small portion of America; but it's a peaceful boring that makes me happy. To fill the void in the days, I jog and write and listen to music (pandora.com has become my favorite little corner on the internet). Who knew that there were so many artists as good as E.S. Posthumus? (I'm a bit of a cinematic orchestra fan, anything that uses violins and cellos with any amount of gusto makes me happy).
I'll ramble for a bit, because today feels like a rambling mood:
I broke my big toe in my sleep last night, but while it hurts something terrible, my mood is still great. As long as I keep it off the floor, the pain isn't so bad. Mom II* thinks I sleptwalked last night and stubbed in on something, Dad II* thinks I just kicked the side of my bed in the sleep. It's quite red and swollen, but it's not so bad.
I have tea with honey, no wonder my moods amazing.
I'm three days away from quiting my current job (I'm a dishwasher, can you blame me?). While I don't mind the work, it's the people and their habit to shuck all the work off on me (and turn the plates upside down in the bus tubs so that food gets everywhere). I'll likely be picking up a job at an ice cream palor for the rest of the summer, just to earn enough to pay for books at my college (eh, you guys call them unis, don't you? It's different in America, Colleges and Universities are the same thing). At least I'll smell like sugar when I leave that place, usually when I leave my current job at the end of my shift, I smell like the wrong side of someone's meal.
I have a link to my photography gallery Here. Picture taking is just a passing hobby of mine (Cameras are way too expensive to make it a Super Hobby--writing is fairly cheep, so I'll stick to that), I don't plan on making anything of it. There's a picture of me in there, it's called Iced.
Random endearing fact about me: I am 18 1/2 years old and have never been kissed (which is largely due to the fact that I intimidate the boys, and I find high school kiddies too immature. Le Sigh.)

Hi everyone,
I've had a busy few days catching up with everyone now exams are over and I can stop flailing. I had a BBQ (in the rain) on Friday, Eurovision night with the girls on Saturday (UK 5th - woo!), went shopping for a friend's birthday and dinner at boyfriend's granny's yesterday and friend's birthday lunch today. All niceness so it's not so bad. I've not even had time to read any books yet but I will change this soon! I still need to find a job too, which is difficult since so is the rest of Edinburgh.
What place, thing, or animal symbolizes peace in your life and why?
The beach 10 minutes from my house = peace. I've walked there when I've been upset, happy and contemplative and it tends to be a place where me and friends go drinking or to talk in the nice weather. One friend has a pink drinking tent which is ace to sit in and look out at the sea. I love beaches. :)

If you've ever had any experience with HTML and CSS then you'll know how fraustrating it can be. If you haven't had any experience then believe me when I say you don't want any. Really, stay away from it! I've been working on a website layout for two days and it's just not happening, the codes aren't doing what they're supposed to and I can't work out where i'm going wrong. Gah!
I feel much better now i've got that little rant out of the way! So, on with the blog:
You remember last week I mentioned I had an job interview? Well the interview was pretty standard and I don't know if i've got the job yet but I thought i'd share this little anecdote with you. The bus was 40 minutes late so when I got off in the city I was in a major rush. Out comes my map and after a little while looking at it I manage to work out where i'm supposed to be going. Off I go. 15 minutes later i'm still walking around, map in hand, trying to find the building that i'm supposed to be at. Eventually, after a few more minutes map reading, I ask someone if i'm heading the right way. No, i'm not. I'VE BEEN HOLDING THE MAP UPSIDE DOWN. To say I felt stupid is an understatement! That is so typically me. Not out of character at all.
What place on Earth would you like to go if money wasn't a problem?
America!
What is your biggest achievement to date?
Erm, finishing high school. That was a pretty major achievement.
What place, thing, or animal symbolizes peace in your life and why?
London. The first thing I think of when someone mentions London is walks along the embankment. Embankment is my favourite place in the world. I love it, i've had many happy times there with friends and family. So yeah, London = peace.

Hey ho, here I am again!
I went to Badminton Horse trials on Saturday, with my aunt. Apart from getting slight sunstroke, I had a brilliant day. Huge numbers of people, but that was to be expected. Took a couple of photos, though it took me a while to get the timing right. Got a few rather good ones though.
Found out yesterday that my grandpa is going into a nursing home, since he now requires twenty four hour care, which my grandma wouldn't be able to give him. He's been ill for a while, so the news isn't really that much of a surprise, but still...I am going to miss seeing him.
And I'm going to stop there, since there really isn't much else I can say. Sorry for the shortness.

Edward Cullen =/= Cedric Diggory
I got my wedding dress yesterday :D It is long and white and has little silver beads on it, and, to top it all off, had been reduced to £100! I found the whole experience fairly terrifying - trying on multiple expensive dresses, and having a sales assistant scrutinise me and tug at various areas of fabric in front of a large mirror (and purse her lips when I inevitably stumbled over every single hem) is not my idea of a good time - but ultimately the half-hour of awkwardness was worth it.
University-wise, the examination period has rolled around, joy of joys. Much as summer, for me, comes hand in hand with an itchy nose and watering eyes, an inevitable side-effect of the onset of exam season is an increased interest in anything that isn't studying, and a consequent lingering sense of guilt. It probably goes without saying that I've barely revised at all. My first exam is on the 19th >.<
Speaking of procrastination, I recently started re-reading Twilight... and have realised that Twilight The Movie has really ruined Twilight The Books for me :( I can't get Robert Pattinson out of my head, and my own version of Edward was so much better. In fact, I'd say that my version of Edward made the series for me, to be honest. I can't seem to enjoy reading it with Cedric Diggory as protagonist, it's just weird.
Questions!
What is your First Memory?
I'm not sure if it's my first, but certainly one of my earliest memories is of my cousin and I making 'petal soup' in my grandma's old (huge) garden. This involved obtaining an empty margarine tub, filling it with water, and then grinding rose petals into it pestle-and-mortar-stylee until the water turned pink and sweet-smelling. My cousin and I sort of lost touch after those few years, and we've turned into quite different and very distanced people.
What would you attempt to do if you knew you would not fail?
Learning to fly is a sure one, and there are a lot other impossibilities I'd try to accomplish, such as gaining the ability to breathe underwater and talk to animals etc. In terms of realistic challenges, I would attempt to write a really good fantasy novel (this is something I'll try and do eventually anyway), develop a skill in something totally out of my usual sphere of abilities (playing chess, for example - Chris is good at chess, and I can't understand how he does it!), learn a bunch of languages... there are loads of things.
What place on Earth would you like to go if money wasn't a problem?
I'd really like to visit Japan, one day. And Canada. And the USA. And Egypt. And a load of other places!
What is your biggest achievement to date?
I don't know! I really don't. Getting Chris to agree to marry me? Haha. There've been a few minor victories that sort of jump out at me as I think about this question, but nothing that stands out as a Biggest Achievement, I don't think. One time when I was 15/16 I entered a writing competition on MuggleNet and won a T-shirt and a wand from Alivans... that was pretty cool.
What place, thing, or animal symbolizes peace in your life and why?
I had to think about this for a while, but the memory of my old room back in my house in Cambridge (where I lived until I was 11ish, pre-parental divorce and moving house/school several times) is fairly peaceful, and when I'm feeling stressed it sometimes helps to lie down and shut my eyes and imagine I'm back in there. That probably sounds weird. Oh well.
Does anyone have any ideas as to things other than Q&As we could do to get to know each other/make the blogs a bit more cohesive?

Waving
Hello,
I graduated high school on Saturday (managed to give a speech and not suffer a nervous breakdown). Nothing interesting has happened since then, and the only thing I can truly make comment on is the fact that I have been suffering from sinus and allergy problems since last Wednesday, and that it's around the time when I need pounds upon pounds of chocolate to keep me happy.
Oh! Question and Answer time, this makes me happy.
Describe something you feel passionate about.

Describe something you feel passionate about.
The hardest question of them all, it's difficult for me to be passionate about anything. The thing that stirs the most emotion for me is walking through the woods with my dog (Daisy) and sitting on the roof while staring at the woods and wheat. The area I live in is peaceful, so the walks and the sitting make me relaxed and extremely content. I will have to link you to pictures I have taken of the area some day, just to share the joy.
What is your First Memory?
When I was approximately three years old, I attempted to do a cartwheel down my grandmother's basement stairs. I did not succeed, but the injuries were minor. I cried a lot, though.
What would you attempt to do if you knew you would not fail?
I would attempt to fly, as well as learn the cello and Russian.
What place on Earth would you like to go if money wasn't a problem?
Europe. All of it, even the unsafe bits, because there is so much culture there that the U.S. just doesn't offer. Germany, Russia, Netherlands, and Ireland being the top four.
What is your biggest achievement to date?
Staying alive. I'm the most accident prone person I know. If there are stairs to fall down, I'll fall down them for you. If there's nothing on the floor, no worries, I'll trip anyway. Fall off a roof, done that. Accidental chicken with an eighteen-wheeler, *raises hand* I worry sometimes.
My question: What place, thing, or animal symbolizes peace in your life and why?

Staying alive. I'm the most accident prone person I know. If there are stairs to fall down, I'll fall down them for you. If there's nothing on the floor, no worries, I'll trip anyway. Fall off a roof, done that. Accidental chicken with an eighteen-wheeler, *raises hand* I worry sometimes.
My question: What place, thing, or animal symbolizes peace in your life and why?

Monday Monday Badadadadada
I nearly forgot to post today! I had an exam this morning and went for a coffee after with people before collapsing in a big heap at home and doing nothing for the rest of the day. It's gone pretty quickly though. My last exam is Friday and then it's my summer holidays for four months. I need to find a job...
Exciting things have been put on hold for the moment. I plan to go out on Friday night though! Since I have no news this week and am a bit of a robot, (programmed only to respond to revision and essay questions) I'll answer the questions and try and think of one myself.
Describe something you feel passionate about.

Literature. I love reading and can't think of much better than curling up with a nice book. I don't often get the chance, since most of the books I read are for Uni but this will change in the summer. I've only recently started writing again too but it feels ace. Literature has the ability to impact me in a big way and I can blab on about a good novel for ages :)
I love music too. I don't think I could last very long without it. I sing too and have an alright voice, but I can't sing in front of people.
What's your first memory?
My dad singing and reading to me. I don't have a specific memory as such, but dad used to sing me to sleep and he was great at reading stories, putting on different voices and stuff.
He probably influenced me in a big way when it comes to music and reading.
What would you attempt to do if you knew that you could not fail?
Hmm lots of things! I worry far too much and this tends to hold me back. I'd learn Japanese, piano and publish a novel!
What place on Earth would you like to go if money wasn't a problem?
If language wasn't a problem either, then Japan. I wouldn't mind living in London or New Zealand at some point either.
OK so my question is...
What is your biggest achievement to date?
A bit lame, but I couldn't think of anything else!
See you next week when I'll be freeee!

Saturdays Child...
My first blog! I just got back from France a few hours ago and I'm really tired, so this will probably be boring and written in extremely poor English. Sorry. Could you please tell me if - when - I make stupid mistakes?
I'm a 16-year-old Dutch girl. I have no idea what else to write, so I'm just going to tell you about five things that I love and five things that I hate.
Things I love:
1. ) My family. I live with my parents and my two younger brothers, and I love them all two bits. Although sometimes I want to kill them. Using a pitchfork.
2. ) Writing ( and reading, of course ). Yes, I am one of the many, many people in this world who dream of becoming a writer. I used to write fantasy, but lately I've started to enjoy writing more realistic stories.
3. ) Skirts and dresses. I hate pants. I owe exactly one pair of jeans, that's all.
4. ) Big cities. I live in a small village and I hate it. I wish I lived in a proper city, with shops and cinemas and people who try to steel your bag.
5. ) Doctor Who. Yes, I'm an obsessed Whovian. I could go on about it for hours ( but I won't, don't worry ). Last autumn I actually dragged my intire family with me to Stratford-upon-Avon because I wanted to see David Tennant in Hamlet.
Things I hate:
1. ) My braces. It was OK when I was 12 and everyone wore them, but now I'm the only one left...
2. ) Eggs. I don't know how people can eat them without vomiting. They're disgusting.
3. ) The Twilight series. I don't get the hype. It's boring ( don't be offended if you do like them! ).
4. ) Alchohol. I went out for the first time last week, got slightly drunk and probably made a fool out of myself. Never doing that again. I'll just stick with coke from now on ( I mean the harmless, liquid coke. Not the powdery sort ).
5. ) Maths. HATE IT.
To answer the last bloggers question: I would move to London. Right now.
Next question: What place on Earth would you like to go if money wasn't a problem?
I hope I didn't bore you!

Hey all,
This week has gone so quickly, I can't believe it's Friday already! The most exciting thing to happen to me all week is getting an interview for a job that I applied for. I'm going to have to brush up on my interview technique before next week. Wish me luck!
Describe something you feel passionate about: I'm passionate about my love for Eva Pope. You should check out her fansite www.evapope.net
Seriously? I'm passionate about preventing animal cruelty. I don't believe it's acceptable. Unfortunately i'm rushed for time at the moment (it's a busy day!) but maybe i'll attempt to go into further detail in my next blog.
What is your earliest memory?
My earliest memory is of my mum asking me if I wanted a little brother or sister & me saying 'no'. I wish she'd listened!
My question is: What would you attempt to do if you knew that you could not fail?
Until next week, Sarah <3

Thursday is here again.
Not much has been happening in my week so far. I've been muddling along, much as usual. Saw X Men Origins: Wolverine on Tuseday with a friend. I enjoyed it, but I did think that the special effects seemed a little shoddy. They just didn't look that good.
I'm stuggling with the idea of a story at the moment. The trouble with me is that whenever I get ideas for an original piece, they get pushed aside by ideas for fanfiction. Which I also write. It is a little annoying at times, though. Some ideas are just a little too weird to be written up as fanfiction. Or at least, some of my ideas are!
And here's my answer to the question Wednesday's Child asked, which was : Describe something you feel passionate about.
This was a hard one. I had to think about it for a while. But...I feel passionate about animals. And nature. I like watching documentaries on nature because I'll learn something new.
My question is: What's your first memory?
That's all from me!

Bad Face Day
Wedding Countdown: 45 days
**
So I’m just going to come right out and say it: my week has been undeniably uneventful. It has mainly consisted of me thinking about doing some revision but not actually getting round to it, and instead reading Harry Potter 5... I’ll admit that as much as I love the Harry Potter books, they are incredibly unhealthy when it comes to my academic life. It’s hard to be concerned with the imminence of a theology exam when you’ve got OWLs and the uprising of Voldemort to worry about...
You know those days when you wake up and shower thoroughly, yet your hair remains lank, your face is too greasy to even consider using concealer despite the big fat spot sitting comfortably and conspicuously on your chin, and on the whole you just feel as though you should stay indoors and not inflict yourself upon the general public? Like bad hair days, except worse... bad face days. Perhaps you don’t, and I’m just unlucky; either way, today is one of those days for me. Le sigh.
I inflicted myself on the unfortunate people of Leeds anyway because Chris and I wanted to go and see X Men Origins: Wolverine at the cinema, but Orange Wednesdays never texted back (damn them), so we’ve decided to catch the late night showing if we can; instead, we traipsed around the city centre for a while, no real purpose in mind, occasionally looking into the windows of up-market clothes stores to gauge the likelihood of them selling a suitably nice-looking dress for the wedding, which is creeping steadily closer.
I’m starting to panic a bit about the whole dress thing, to be honest: I want to find the 'perfect' dress, but the range in Leeds is surprisingly limited - and it’s not like I have ridiculous standards. I mean, it doesn’t even have to be white; floor-length, pretty, and under £150 are my only absolute requirements. Oh, and it has to look nice on me... which admittedly does whittle down my options quite significantly... nyeh.
So anyway. Feel free to shoot me down if this idea is fraught with lame, but I’m thinking that in order to get to know each other better, throughout this week each of us seven bloggers should ask one question, or make one request of the remaining six, to be answered at some point in their subsequent entries. My request for the rest of you is:
Describe something you feel passionate about.
Fairly lacking in creativity, I know, but hey... it’s my idea and I’ll be as unoriginal as I want ;)
That’s it from me; looking forward to hearing from you tomorrow, Abs.

Endings
Happy Tuesday!
Today is a special day for me, as it marked the last time I will walk into my high school and be seen as a student. Staring at the clock in my final class period was bittersweet and wholly anticlimactic, and yet it was a catharsis of emotion.
Fellow seniors were celebrating the shedding of secondary school so incredibly much that I believe it blinded them. How can you walk out a phase of your life with so much glee without realizing that whiplash is bound to follow? Personally, I have been waiting for this moment since the first day of class, but I have also been dreading it. Graduating is a forceful goodbye. Goodbye to the friends you spoke to in class every day but will never contact again. Goodbye to the teachers so quirky and frustrating and caring that you couldn't help but find a piece of your heart for them. Goodbye to the teammates who were family but will become strangers again in less than a year.
Not one to cry, I had to force myself to remain composed as my fellow band-mates cornered me for hugs (as I'm not one to hug either). They know I will return to give a hand at rehearsals and to cheer them on at band camp, but I know that the feelings will be different. It's like taking a step outside of the group and staring in, smiling because you love the people in it and are enjoying what they will be doing but also terribly terribly sad because you will never be a part of it again.
Yet, college is in the horizon with opportunities and new friendships, and it gives this painful transition meaning.
It all just makes me just want to grab a hold of both ends of the educational blanket and pull them close while yelling, "Gimme both! Gimme both!"
Growth, I say. This is just growth, and I am truly happy to know that I can feel such great levels of joy and grief at the same moment; the dynamic of emotions makes it all the more poignant.
Have a great day!

Happy Mondays
Hello all,
Being the last of everyone to post, I've got a vague idea of what everyone's like. I thought I'd just say a few things about myself before doing a proper blog next week.
I'm 20 years old, from Scotland, and I'm just finishing my third year at uni. I do English and Scottish Lit but when I'm not studying I mostly like reading fantasy stuff (The Time-Traveller's Wife & the His Dark Materials trilogy are my favourite books).
I spend too much time online but I'm not great with computers.
I love writing but I find it hard to come up with plot ideas.
I like spending time on my own but can't do stuff like go for coffee or go clothes shopping by myself.
If I ever talk about my family I'll try and make it simple. I have four brothers and one sister and I'm the youngest. I live with my mum but I'm moving into a flat in July.
I also have a boyfriend called Patrick and I've been with him for over two years.
I think this is enough information for you all to process for now! :)

Alot of people don't realize what is going on here. . .
Sunday's child is a wee bit late. However I've yet to go to sleep so it's still Sunday in my mind.
I'm Shelly and I hate capital letters. now that i've stated it i won't be using them again. i feel relieved. i have no organized thought process and my writing sounds exactly the way i would talk all disjointed. i grew up in a multi-cultural home and i've never known really how to stick to one of the mindsets i learned growing up. i also have an accent. apparently i sound like a weird british long islander. i don't think i have any type of accent so whatever.
in the event that you could not tell i'm a girl. i swear, i smoke, and i run around naked. i'll only lie to you if i know the truth will hurt you more because honestly i really couldn't care. i'm mean and cold and cruel but i've made peace with it. i care for those most important and i couldn't care about the rest.
i think the swine flu freak out is ridiculous and i found it humorous that a high school about an hour away from where i currently reside shut itself down because one of it's students have just returned from mexico. honestly the us needs to get a grip. or cull the herd. either way something needs to happen.
and i'm very tired i was called into work today on my only day off. i felt bad so i went in and now i'm tired. i'm still buzzed from my smoke earlier today and i'm excited because i just got a gym membership. in a few hours i'll be going to a spinning class and then lap swim at the gym. i have no idea what the fuck spinning is but i'm so excited anyways.
my cat montauk is currently glaring me down. she wants to go to sleep. it's funny that she won't sleep without me in the bed. if i am not home she'll sleep elsewhere. the bed is only if i'm in it. i love my cat dearly and i'm going to take her advice.
sunday's child signing off.

Happy Friday!
I spent a long time deliberating over what to write in my first 7bloggers blog. Should I be clever, creative and witty? Should I tell everyone about myself in basic form? I think that right there tells you something about me already. I am an over thinker. Seriously though, both online and in real life i'm lame at introducing myself. I came across a short quiz on myspace '10 things about you' and decided that would be a good starting point for my first entry, so here goes:
1. I'm left handed.
2. I have six pets.
3. Currently i'm on a gap year between school and college.
4. I live in East England but up until a year ago I used to live in a county just outside London.
5. I want my own television production company.
6. The last thing I do before I go to bed is listen to at least one song from Volume One by She & Him.
7. I've had braces for five years.
8. I collect autographs.
9. Kathy Reichs is my favourite author.
10. I love inspirational quotes or lyrics (as you'll probably notice at the end of each of my entries. Kudos to anyone who takes a guess at where the quotes/lyrics are from!)
I realise that was possibly the most unimaginative thing ever! Feel free to comment and i'll be happy to expand on any of the points :)
Keep Faith, Sarah <3
