Hello!
I'm writing from my new laptop, as my old one crashed last week (it even refused to start on safe mode). While I loved my old one (I had it for four long years and was in the habit of talking to it: Don't mock me), this piece of technology is making me incredibly happy. It's nice to have a computer that starts when you want it to and saves the stories you write instead of kicking you out of Microsoft Works before you can think of pushing save as.
Life has become relatively uneventful in my small portion of America; but it's a peaceful boring that makes me happy. To fill the void in the days, I jog and write and listen to music (pandora.com has become my favorite little corner on the internet). Who knew that there were so many artists as good as E.S. Posthumus? (I'm a bit of a cinematic orchestra fan, anything that uses violins and cellos with any amount of gusto makes me happy).
I'll ramble for a bit, because today feels like a rambling mood:
I broke my big toe in my sleep last night, but while it hurts something terrible, my mood is still great. As long as I keep it off the floor, the pain isn't so bad. Mom II* thinks I sleptwalked last night and stubbed in on something, Dad II* thinks I just kicked the side of my bed in the sleep. It's quite red and swollen, but it's not so bad.
I have tea with honey, no wonder my moods amazing.
I'm three days away from quiting my current job (I'm a dishwasher, can you blame me?). While I don't mind the work, it's the people and their habit to shuck all the work off on me (and turn the plates upside down in the bus tubs so that food gets everywhere). I'll likely be picking up a job at an ice cream palor for the rest of the summer, just to earn enough to pay for books at my college (eh, you guys call them unis, don't you? It's different in America, Colleges and Universities are the same thing). At least I'll smell like sugar when I leave that place, usually when I leave my current job at the end of my shift, I smell like the wrong side of someone's meal.
I have a link to my photography gallery Here. Picture taking is just a passing hobby of mine (Cameras are way too expensive to make it a Super Hobby--writing is fairly cheep, so I'll stick to that), I don't plan on making anything of it. There's a picture of me in there, it's called Iced.
Random endearing fact about me: I am 18 1/2 years old and have never been kissed (which is largely due to the fact that I intimidate the boys, and I find high school kiddies too immature. Le Sigh.)

Have you named your laptop? If you talk to them, you should definately name them. Mine's is Cassandra. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm checking out your photos just now. I have a deviantart account so I'll leave comments.
Hope the toe isn't too bad!
I really love your photography :O Is the girl in the Dinner Party photo also you? Whoever she is, she reminds me a LOT of Ellen Page in that shot *jealous*
ReplyDeleteI hope your toe isn't too painful!
My old laptop's name was Henry (as a tribute to him, I forced my friend to name her new camera Henry as well). This little gem is named Amelia, after an old favorite character.
ReplyDeleteXD Yah! The girl in the Dinner Party photo is me as well. Thank you, I'm glad you like it.
My toe is healing nicely (as nicely as it can).
