Bad Face Day

Wedding Countdown: 45 days

**

So I’m just going to come right out and say it: my week has been undeniably uneventful. It has mainly consisted of me thinking about doing some revision but not actually getting round to it, and instead reading Harry Potter 5... I’ll admit that as much as I love the Harry Potter books, they are incredibly unhealthy when it comes to my academic life. It’s hard to be concerned with the imminence of a theology exam when you’ve got OWLs and the uprising of Voldemort to worry about...

You know those days when you wake up and shower thoroughly, yet your hair remains lank, your face is too greasy to even consider using concealer despite the big fat spot sitting comfortably and conspicuously on your chin, and on the whole you just feel as though you should stay indoors and not inflict yourself upon the general public? Like bad hair days, except worse... bad face days. Perhaps you don’t, and I’m just unlucky; either way, today is one of those days for me. Le sigh.

I inflicted myself on the unfortunate people of Leeds anyway because Chris and I wanted to go and see X Men Origins: Wolverine at the cinema, but Orange Wednesdays never texted back (damn them), so we’ve decided to catch the late night showing if we can; instead, we traipsed around the city centre for a while, no real purpose in mind, occasionally looking into the windows of up-market clothes stores to gauge the likelihood of them selling a suitably nice-looking dress for the wedding, which is creeping steadily closer.

I’m starting to panic a bit about the whole dress thing, to be honest: I want to find the 'perfect' dress, but the range in Leeds is surprisingly limited - and it’s not like I have ridiculous standards. I mean, it doesn’t even have to be white; floor-length, pretty, and under £150 are my only absolute requirements. Oh, and it has to look nice on me... which admittedly does whittle down my options quite significantly... nyeh.

So anyway. Feel free to shoot me down if this idea is fraught with lame, but I’m thinking that in order to get to know each other better, throughout this week each of us seven bloggers should ask one question, or make one request of the remaining six, to be answered at some point in their subsequent entries. My request for the rest of you is:

Describe something you feel passionate about.

Fairly lacking in creativity, I know, but hey... it’s my idea and I’ll be as unoriginal as I want ;)

That’s it from me; looking forward to hearing from you tomorrow, Abs.

Wednesday’s Child.

  2. I suffer from bad face days all the time...so much so, in fact, that I got use to them.

Good luck on the dress hunting! I'm sure you'll find something lovely.

  4. Ugh, yes bad face days are the worst. They're especially bad when you need to go out for something before hiding from the world, but the world has other plans and flings people you know in your direction.

Squee! You have to describe your dress and all that other nonsense when it's sorted! I used to work in a bridal shop and take a bizarre interest in such things!

I like the idea of having topics for others to write about. Your one is ace! :)
